Rob Walker set up the eponymous Rob Walker Engineering more than 25 years ago after a long and distinguished career as a Director for Osellis, the highly respected classic and sports car engineering and restoration business. Having developed his performance engineering skills he took the leap to create his own business in 1994. Rob Walker Engineering became a business that provides what is recognised within the sector and amongst enthusiast owners as proper, sensible old-school engineering providing performance enhancements across a wide range of marques.
These traditional engineering and machining skills have generated an excellent reputation and loyal customer following, especially with fans of Mini and both air- and water-cooled Porsche, that extends far beyond their current base at the New Yatt business centre near Witney in Oxfordshire.
The highly skilled team collectively have over 70 years of engineering expertise delivering high quality engine machining services for both classic and modern automotive, commercial and marine engines working with the best of British, German, French, Japanese and American engines – expertise that is being passed on to apprentices to sustain those skills for future generations.
The people working within the company are not only skilled engineers but also drivers so they really understand what makes an engine tick, how to get the most out of it and understand that what happens in the workshop affects performance on the road or track.
