Finley Kew is just 10 years old but has already been making a name for himself in the world of Ninja Karts, which are junior karts that come race ready with a roll cage and aerofoil and are run on ovals.
Following in the footsteps of his great grandparents, grandparents and parents, Finley has racing in his blood, his father is the current National Hot Rod European Champion and took Finley racing for the first time at two weeks old and in his pram.
He started racing at the age of six in the Spedeworth Ninja Karts, winning at his first ever race meeting. 2021 sees Finley continuing to race in this series and also making the step up to the SEGTO Junior Minis, where he’ll be racing a 1000cc Austin Mini.
Ben Edwards, CEO of Fiennes Group, has sponsored Finley through the Fiennes Performance division, “I raced with Finley’s Grandad in the early 2000s and always looked up to him as a kid when I went to watch the racing, so it’s great to be able to help Finley in his racing career.”
Finley’s father Jason has been impressed with the work done by Fiennes Performance, “We’d like to thank them for taking his worn out second hand race engine and transforming it into a new work of art. The machine work and craftsmanship is second to none and we are sure their magic touch is going to lead to more success in Finley’s racing career.”
